Streets and Litter
Since the beginning of September 2019, I have started a photo series capturing trash around Scotland. A documentation of the undocumented; insignificant objects, with no value or artistic properties. By photographing them, I aim to capture their “beauty” and invite the viewer to re-examine and reconsider trash and view them maybe as sculptures, observe their colour, texture, shape, size, material and design. Additionally, personally I see trash as an overlooked aspect of culture, considering them as a part of the identity of the streets.
